The noblewoman Bianca Pellegrini, beautiful and seductive, falls in love with the brave commander Pier Maria Rossi, Count of San Secondo. Both are married, but both have a fiery temperament. The count has Torrechiara Castle built as a tribute to his beloved and decorates the Camera d'Oro (Golden Room) to celebrate their love. Descrizione
Day 1: The Camera d'Oro and the wine of the Parma Hills
You arrive in Torrechiara in the early afternoon and visit the Castle at your own pace, all the way to the Camera d'Oro, where the count wished to celebrate his love for Bianca. Towards sunset we climb into the hills of the Parma Valley, where you meet the first Emilian flavour: the wine of the Parma Hills. Together we visit a winery and toast with an aperitif, then dine in the cellar. At the end of the evening you sleep in the village of Torrechiara, in a double room.
Day 2: Parmigiano and prosciutto, the flavours of the Food Valley
We dedicate the morning to Parmigiano Reggiano: we visit a dairy and taste different agings, with the chance to take home the products you like. Then we head to the Parma Ham Museum (from Monday to Friday we visit a prosciutto factory instead). We finish with a platter of mixed cured meats: the best way to say goodbye to the Food Valley.
